About

Pharo School Nairobi stems from a long history of academic success and excellence, with deep roots in the local community. Founded in 1996 as Tender Care Junior Academy, in the heart of Komarock, the school begun with just 2 children and the school grew steadily, building a strong reputation through word of mouth and a commitment to early education excellence. Over the years, the school expanded its reach and offerings, achieving significant milestones along the way.

In 2006, Tender Care Junior Academy celebrated its first Kenyan Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) class, achieving remarkable success with Samuel Malu, who was the 4th best candidate in the country. Two years later, the school reached another pinnacle of academic excellence when Christine Kagiri became the top candidate in the KCPE exams nationwide in 2008.

Academic excellence has always been a cornerstone of Tender Care Junior Academy. This unwavering focus on high standards led to the establishment of additional branches, including the Central Branch, Umoja, Main School, and Phase 4 Campus.

In November 2023, Pharo Foundation acquired Tender Care Junior Academy, continuing its legacy under the new name Pharo School Nairobi. Today, Pharo School Nairobi operates three campuses: Phase 4, Umoja, and Main School, serving a vibrant community of 1,740 pupils. Our mission is to unlock each child's potential, fostering an environment where every learner can thrive and achieve their best.
